CT Yachting

Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This page explains, in plain language, what personal data we collect when you book with us, how we use it and the rights you have over it.

Data Controller

CT Yachting, operating from Fezzano Marina (La Spezia), Italy, is the data controller for the personal data collected through this website and its booking forms. You can reach us at any time using the contact details shown in the footer of this site (email or WhatsApp).

What data we collect

When you send a booking request or a custom (Su Misura) inquiry, we collect:

  • ·Identity and contact details: your first name, last name, email address and phone number.
  • ·Booking details: the itinerary, preferred date(s), number of participants, duration and any notes or special requests you choose to share (including the occasion, if you tell us).
  • ·Payment data: online payments are processed by our payment providers (Stripe and Revolut). We never see, receive or store your full card details — only a payment reference so we can match the payment to your booking and, if necessary, issue refunds.
  • ·Language preference: the language you selected on the site, so we can communicate with you in your language.

How we use your data

We use your data exclusively to:

  • ·Manage your booking request and communicate with you about it (confirmation and follow-up).
  • ·Process payments and, where applicable, refunds (for example if a shared tour does not reach the minimum number of participants).
  • ·Send you transactional emails related to your booking: the booking confirmation, the pre-departure reminder and our review request.
  • ·Issue invoices and fulfil accounting and tax obligations required by Italian law.
  • ·Answer your questions and, if you contact us via WhatsApp or email, keep a record of that conversation.

Legal basis

We process your data to perform the booking contract you request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), on the basis of your explicit consent given via the checkbox in the booking form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), and to comply with legal, accounting and tax obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Who we share your data with

We never sell your data. We share it only with the providers strictly necessary to run our service:

  • ·Payment processors (Stripe, Revolut) to handle payments and refunds.
  • ·Our accounting software (Fatture in Cloud) to issue invoices as required by law.
  • ·The email delivery service that sends our transactional emails.
  • ·Public authorities, only where required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as necessary to manage your booking, and afterwards only for the period required by accounting and tax regulations. Once these obligations expire, your data is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw your consent at any time — for example the consent you gave with the checkbox when submitting your request. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

To exercise any of these rights, simply contact us via the email address shown in the footer of this site. We will respond as quickly as possible and in any case within the statutory time limits. If you believe your rights have been infringed, you may also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The latest version is always available on this page.
